WALK IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF GIANTS

At Northern Ireland's renowned World Heritage Site, walk in the fabled footsteps of giants. The Giant's Causeway, surrounded by the wild Atlantic Ocean and a scene of spectacular cliffs, has inspired artists, sparked scientific discussion, and caught the imagination of those who see it for ages.

Giant's Causeway

Northern Ireland's shoreline is everything but small. One gorgeous scene follows another as you travel along the famed Causeway Coast.

Dunluce Castle's rocky castle remains, Whiterocks Beach's pale cream sands, and the breathtaking vistas of the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge are just a few of the outstanding attractions. However, as you wind your way along this fantastic road, one sight stands out as genuinely spectacular: the Giant's Causeway.

Thousands of rock formations tumbling down into the Atlantic Ocean can be seen from the hills that gently curve this unique location. It's a spectacular sight, with 40,000 or so hexagonal-shaped stepping stones dating back over 60 million years to a volcanic era.

The Causeway Coastal Route

Take a stand on the ridges. Don't stop there once you've made it to the Giant's Causeway... Although it is the crown jewel of the Causeway Coastal Route, there are plenty of other sights to see on this epic road trip...

A geological wonder

And what a wonderfully unique location it is. A short stroll down to the Causeway itself will take you under a kilometre, where you may hop over the stones, explore the surrounding hills, or simply stop and contemplate the confusing geology that has resulted in one of Europe's most unique natural wonders. The light varies throughout the day, changing from crisp greens and greys to a warm tobacco brown that is breathtaking.

It's the stuff of dreams.
