ARE YOU READY TO RESET TO THE COUNTRY?

Lockdown has given us all time to think, think about family, about our lives, reassess what is a priority, what’s important and to think about where we live and whether it gives us the lifestyle that’s right for us.

Our HO is based in London so we’re all based in and around, London is an amazing place to live… when you’re not in lockdown. Having travelled extensively and lived in other cities, London definitely has the best choice in all avenues for things to do, particularly the arts, culture, music, restaurants, bars, hotels and events. The transport is great, if not a little dated in parts but it works and no matter where you live, meeting with friends is easy.

In lockdown however, many Londoners see another side of living in this city. When you’re forced to stay inside suddenly, you’re shared accommodation or small flat with no garden, can feel very restrictive. Your living space may already be your dinning/kitchen/lounge but it also had to become your office, your gym, your everything space.

Essentially this lockdown has caused people to think about what they really want. Plus as working remotely has deemed a success during this time, the Independant reported that 13% of business leaders have decided to work from home permanently and not use commercial office space, which means it’s no longer essential to live near what was, HO. The daily grind and commute to and from the office will become a thing of the past. Having had the opportunity to work from home and have more flexibility, will cause many people to really evaluate their current set up. The old working normal could be over.

Some Londoners pondering on moving to the country do worry about FOMO (fear of missing out) however it is possible to move and still be with in easy reach of getting your city fix if required. Visiting London will become more of an weekend experience and what it offers will not be taken for granted.

We spoke to lots of women who have already made the move out of the city and here’s some of their benefits.
