Turner Contemporary Galley, Margate, Kent

Since Turner Contemporary opened in Margate in 2011, something extraordinary has taken place. Go through the doors, and you might encounter a new artwork, be inspired by a current exhibition or get engrossed in an activity, tour or conversation. From the windows, you can observe the skies and light that inspired their namesake, JMW Turner, during his visits to Margate. Whilst you’re there, relax and enjoy something to eat in the café which sources its menu from Kent based producers and has unrivalled views of the harbour. https://turnercontemporary.org/

Conwy Castle,Rose Hill St, Conwy, Wales.

Magnificent medieval fortress still towers over town after 700 years. Thanks to restored spiral staircases in its great towers you can walk a complete circuit around the battlements of Conwy Castle. We highly recommend it. This is one of the most magnificent medieval fortresses in Europe.

In the distance rise the craggy mountains of Snowdonia and spread out below you are the harbour and narrow streets of Conwy – still protected by an unbroken 1,400-yard (1.3km) ring of town walls. The castle over looking the Quay is a particularly stunning place to visit during the warm summer months. https://cadw.gov.wales/visit/places-to-visit/conwy-castle

The Box, Plymouth

The Box, Plymouth

The Box, Plymouth, Devon.

The Box is Plymouth’s new £46 million cultural destination, proudly led by Plymouth City Council in Britain's Ocean City and was due to open in May but is now opening in Autumn 2020.

The Box is a museum, gallery and archive. A cafe and bar. A place that you can make your own, and where there's always something new to discover. A place where the city’s heritage meets contemporary art; where archives meet interaction; and where the Mayflower meets a mammoth.

The opening of The Box is the most significant cultural initiative in the UK in 2020. The galleries, collections and archives will bring the world to Plymouth and Plymouth to the world. The original City Museum and Art Gallery has been completely transformed and extended to combine the Edwardian building with the former City Library and St Luke’s church. The Box also features a striking elevated ‘archive in the sky’ with research and learning facilities, along with a major new public square for gigs, performance, theatre and events.

The Box promises an incredible experience. Welcome to The Box. https://www.theboxplymouth.com/
