SEEK OUT CAMBODIAN ECO FUSION
Wild in both name and nature... The 865 acres of beautiful river valley that makes up Shinta Mani Wild are located on the southern edge of the Cardamom National Forest.
The game-changing concept of a high-yield, low-impact camp, with its primary goal being a sustainable approach to aid Wildlife Alliance in maintaining the forest, appears to be gaining momentum.
You'd think that taking occasional bike rides, cooking a little food, and looking after 15 tents would necessitate a few staff members. In actuality, they employ roughly 120 decent people, 70% of whom are from nearby villages, some of whom have engaged in unlawful tree-cutting and poaching.
The lack of single-use plastics at Shinta Mani Wild extends to a large portion of their supply chain at the rear of the restaurant, making the task considerably more challenging. They utilise recyclable containers and bottle their own water.
TENTS
In order to provide the highest comfort and elegance with stunning views along the riverbank, they have built 15 individual tents. Over the course of seven years, each place was carefully selected using a strategy of little interference and an awareness of the peculiarities of the river valley.
Tent No. 1
The Cambodian Royalty Tent
The WILD cover model honours the regal legacy of the Kingdom of Cambodia by sitting above raging waterfalls.
Tent No. 2
First Lady Jackie Kennedy's Tent
The entry walkway of this tent is the most spectacular since it offers an amazing perspective of the north bank of the river and is full with real memorabilia depicting Jackie's trip to Cambodia in 1967.
Tent No. 3
The Shinta Mani Foundation Tent
It seems a bit like being on a huge surfboard when you are perched on a 25-metre wide rock that totally submerges under white water during the height of the monsoon season.
Tent No. 4
The Bohemian Tent
Bohemianism is the practice of an unusual way of life, as well as musical, artistic, literary, or spiritual interests, frequently in the company of others who share similar beliefs. Bring out your wild side.
Tent No. 6
The Wildlife Alliance Tent
Tent #6 is floating over the third tributary's broadest but shallow section about to the north of Headquarters and the Raging Big Sister Falls. The approach is magnificent. In the monsoon season, one may wander along a series of constrained wooden pathways that dance around this area of the forest, which is home to plants that grow on moist roots, right above small rapids. The Jungle Capsule, which offers straightforward accommodations with double beds, is a good addition to this tent.
Tent No. 7
The Butterfly Tent
Due to its location near the confluence of two rivers and right below the zip line, Tent #7 may be a humorous spot to be. Additionally, this is where WILD architect Khun Spot discovered a wide variety of butterfly species.
