THE SUSSEX RIDING SCHOOL
The Sussex Riding School is an independent company that specialises in providing high quality horse riding experiences for riders of all ages and abilities. Based in West Sussex, they’re perfectly placed to offer the chance to explore the beautiful countryside and coastlines whether it be at a gentle pace or something brisker such as cross country.
Their team includes accredited coaches with years many of experience and the business is lead by Hannah Good, an experienced rider who has competed in show jumping to a very high standard. The horses are extremely well mannered and are carefully chosen for their excellent temperament, many having competition backgrounds and previous riding school experience.

Beach Rides – Explore the beautiful Sussex coast around Climping beach on horseback then enjoy a drink and catch up in a local pub.
Local treks – Enjoy a leisurely guided ride through the local countryside and finish up in one of areas charming pubs

Hunt Hirelings – Join the hunt as a guest rider on on of our seasoned hunt hirelings.

BEACH RIDES
It’s the Beach Rides that caught our eye!
Open to novice and experienced riders alike, the organisers have specially selected some of the best beaches in West Sussex, with long, long stretches of sand that are just crying out to be ridden. All tours are guided, showing the finest and wildest areas of this stunning coastline.
For these West Sussex beach rides you'll meet at a country pub. From there it's a short hack along country lanes to the beach. Once in your stride, you'll feel the sense of simple well-being and bliss that riding a horse along the beach gives you. The horses absolutely love it and are totally relaxed. Confident riders can enjoy the thrill of jumping the groins that line the seafront. Afterwards, there’s always time for a splash in the water before heading back to the local pub for a drink and catch up.
The school uses Climping beach near Atherington at low tide, giving you a wide stretch of sand that seems to go on forever. Horse riding on the beach is a real treat for both humans and horses and these well-organised rides on the beaches of West Sussex are convivial and fun - especially as they start and finish at a hand-selected country pub, The Oyster Catcher.
