Welcome to Crockford Bridge Farm. they are a family owned farm near Weybridge in Surrey. they grow 20 different crops that are available for you to pick yourself directly from their fields.
Pick Your Own is open from April to September and starts in late Spring with rhubarb and asparagus. From late May there are abundant crops of the strawberries and raspberries they are renowned for.
The benefit of picking your own fruit and veg is sourcing produce with the highest vitamin content and best possible taste. There really is no comparison to produce in supermarkets that due to lengthy supply chains has sometimes been harvested weeks before it hits the shelves.
Spending a day picking fruit is also a great fun and good exercise.
Outside of the Summer picking season, they also grow Pumpkins and Christmas Trees which are available to purchase at our Pumpkin Patch event in October and Christmas Tree Cabin from late November.
During the picking season, crops can become unavailable due to changing weather conditions or simply because the farm has been unexpectedly busy. To avoid disappointment we strongly advise customers to phone ahead and check availability on the day, especially if you wish to pick a particular crop or are making a long journey.
The farm is one of the few large open spaces left in the surrounding neighbourhood. Despite the ever encroaching urban sprawl, the land actually forms part of the Surrey Green Belt.
Every year they work hard to grow the best quality fruit whilst minimising the impact on the environment. Plus employ highly skilled agronomists who work to achieve these aims.
The farm use an integrated crop management policy which employs natural predators to help with pest control.
