FLYING OVER THE ANDES

Visiting the Venezuelan Andes is a breathtaking experience itself. But flying in Mérida is simply a must if you go to this area! by flying we mean paragliding, one of the many activities to do while you are visiting the andes and Autara are one of the best companies who SPECIALISE in these experiences.

The flying spot is located south of the city. During noon there is too much wind, so you can fly either in the mornings or afternoons. Autura can come to pick you up, and while you drive down, the vegetation changes to a more arid look. Then you start riding up a road till you are high enough to get a gorgeous view of the whole valley and the mountains that surround it.

You will fly with highly experienced pilots, that have bean flying for at least 10 years already. All have been licensed by the Venezuelan Paragliding Federation (FEDEVIP) and in some cases other international licenses.

So put your harness on, and the wind will work for you and take your feet of the ground for a lifetime experience!
