CASTLE MAGO, SIENA - A TUSCAN DREAM

The pinnacle of an idyllic Italian getaway in Tuscany. A great trip to Tuscany is made possible by the region's magnificent rolling hills, world-class artwork from the Renaissance and medieval eras, flavorful seasonal cuisine, charming hilltop villages, and phenomenal villas.

Castle Mago

Castle Mago is a wonderful 16th Century castle in a perfect position enjoying a lovely panorama over the countryside with views of Elba Island and the sea beyond. The villa has its own exclusive grounds complete with a rose garden and an entrance garden with private parking, outside living space for relaxing, dining al fresco, a private outside swimming pool 6m x 12m, and a private outside Jacuzzi hot tub. This romantically beautiful historic residence retains all the original characteristics and period furnishings yet has all modern comforts and offers a wide range of facilities and services to enhance your stay.

This extraordinary old castle, which was originally home to Leopold II, Grand Duke of Tuscany, is in a quiet and private setting in the countryside but is only a mile from Venturina Terme, the closest town, and ten minutes drive from the gorgeous Tuscan coast and the closest sandy beaches. The first view of this towering building with a lovely front of ivy is via the grounds to the exclusive automatic gate of the castle, which is lined with cypress and pine trees.

The villa's interior is as stunning, featuring its distinctively high ceilings and furnishings made of antiques, oil paintings, and family heirlooms. The villa's ground floor is made up of a variety of living rooms with antique furniture in the same style as the castle. Three wonderful living rooms, two of which have fireplaces and sofas and one of which has Sky television, a DVD player, and hi-fi music, are located off a big entrance hall that is decorated with historical paintings and coats of arms. The third one has a computer station with an antique wooden desk and a reading area.

A professional kitchen that is fully equipped is located on the same level as a small room next to the kitchen that has a fridge and all the workers needed for the meal service. There is a wonderful dining room with a fireplace that is adorned with paintings and majolica tiles, as well as a large rectangular table that can accommodate all of the visitors. The ground floor houses two double bedrooms.

Modern conveniences like air conditioning, digital television, and unlimited fast wifi with a 20 Mbps download and 6 Mbps upload speed are available in the bedrooms.
