RETREAT TO NATURE IN THE DOLOMITES
With a view of the Dolomites, FORESTIS is situated 1,800 metres above sea level in a heavily forested environment. The Austrian monarchy had already chosen this particular location to build a tuberculosis sanatorium because of the region's exceptional and distinctive natural features.
In the South Tyrolean Alps, FORESTIS is situated in a shady, sunny location on the southern slope of the Plose mountain, just across from the magnificent Dolomites massifs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Health and wellbeing are benefited by the exceptionally pure Plose spring water, clean mountain air, numerous sunny days, and warm climate, where Adriatic currents meet air masses from the North.
Treatments
Palmschoss has been blessed by nature. The four pillars of FORESTIS are clean spring water, clean mountain air, plenty of sunshine, and a temperate climate. The FORESTIS Spa blends these four natural elements with four trees: mountain pine, spruce, larch, and stone pine, following the lead of the Celts and their natural ideology.
Pool
Water is combined in an innovative and beautiful way with stone in the indoor and outdoor pool. The unusual purity of the Plose mountain's water, which also fills the stone pool, is due to the rock type dolomite.
Saunas
The Northern European culture is where the custom of cleaning the body in sauna sessions originated. Stone and wood from the earth are used to furnish the saunas. The wood releases essential oils as a result of the fire, and these oils are extremely therapeutic and relaxing.
Silence Rooms
Healthy sleep is the most crucial prerequisite for restoration, and peace and quiet is one of Palmschoss's key characteristics. The Silence Rooms provide for the perception of complete serenity and induce a deep state of relaxation in the body.
Wyda Room
The indigenous textiles, glass, stone, and wood used to build the Wyda Room interact with one another and create energy fields. In this space, ancient energy exercises are practised. Wyda, the Celtic version of yoga.
Movements
The untouched landscape surrounding Hideaway FORESTIS evokes a special tranquilly. Athletes can pursue sporting activities on their own or with a guide thanks to the brisk air at 1,800 m and the stunning scenery of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park.
Ski-In/Ski-Out
The FORESTIS has a direct connection to the Plose ski area and is situated in the South Tyrolean Dolomites at 1,800 metres above sea level. Direct access to the slopes and the chairlift's valley station, which takes you to the mountain station on the Plose, is available from the FORESTIS ski room via a peaceful forest trail. From there, a number of contemporary char lifts with simple to intermediate levels take you to Plose's 45 kilometres of ski slopes. The longest valley run in South Tyrol is at the Plose ski resort.
Snowshoe hiking
The FORESTIS's dense woodland setting is ideal for contemplative or peaceful winter activities, like snowshoeing. You can develop a stronger bond with the environment and your body via snowshoeing. Herbert, a FORESTIS hiking guide, leads trips directly into South Tyrol's UNESCO natural heritage, crossing frozen brooks, passing through snow-covered forests, and traversing unspoiled snow fields. At FORESTIS, you may take out free snowshoe, pole, and backpack rentals.
Hiking
There is no off season. The Dolomites region's sceneries are full of beautiful sights. While the mountains are still covered in snow in the spring, you can observe nature come to life and the colours flourish. The slopes are luscious in the summer, and the air is filled with the aromas of grass, mountain herbs, and tree resin. Autumn's vibrant, warm hues welcome the first snowfall, which ushers in a hush-hush silence throughout the woods. All year long, FORESTIS provides escorted treks to some of the most breathtaking locations around and abroad.
Biking
The mountain of Plose has four bike lanes. They primarily race in thick woodland, turning the sport into a challenging outdoor adventure. The easy routes that ascend to Palmschoß are suited for virtually everyone. A short stroll through the forests leads from FORESTIS to the chair lift, and the mountain station offers bike rentals. The annual Mountainbike Testival in Brixen in September is a highlight for bike enthusiasts. Visitors can discuss the best equipment and trails while learning about the newest trends.
