HOLENBERG ANNA HOUSE
Tucked away in the serene and picturesque landscape of The Netherlands, the Holenberg Anna House stands as a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. This charming and historic abode holds tales of the past and offers a glimpse into a bygone era. In this article, we will explore the rich history and unique characteristics that make Holenberg Anna House a distinctive landmark.
Which ANNA?
Holenberg boasts the distinction of being the world's inaugural destination where you can enjoy an overnight stay in one of the ANNA cabins. You can opt for the pioneering ANNA Origin design or one of the four subsequent ANNA models: Quercus, Cytisus, Ulex, and Molinia. These cabins are thoughtfully situated in exclusive spots within the Holenberg forest, ensuring ample tranquility and seclusion. In mid-November 2023, the most recent addition to the ANNA Collection will become available at Holenberg, alongside ANNA Biesbosch.
ANNA’s Origin Story
ANNA Origin, the precursor to the ANNA series, is situated behind a sprawling migrating sand dune that meanders through the forest. This is where the ANNA journey began. Designer Caspar Schols created this cabin as his second experiment (following the initial one built for his mother) while on a quest for the ideal cabin that would harmonize with nature. The 'back-to-basics' experience of ANNA Origin exudes an authentic charm, making an overnight stay here exceptionally memorable. ANNA Origin features a generously-sized sunken bathtub and is furnished with a simple yet comprehensive and mobile kitchen unit. The restroom and shower facilities are housed in separate units adjacent to the cabin.
ANNA Origin is designed for:
A maximum of two occupants
A maximum of two dogs
ANNA Quercus, Cytisus, Ulex, and Molinia
ANNA Quercus, Cytisus, Ulex, and Molinia represent the second generation of ANNA cabins in Holenberg. They offer a slightly elevated level of comfort compared to the Origin model. Notably, these cabins feature indoor bathrooms and toilets, as well as a fixed kitchen setup. Moreover, each of these cabins boasts an additional sleeping area in the loft, suitable for accommodating two children (up to 18 years). Furthermore, all of these ANNA cabins are equipped with a wood stove and a concealed ground-level bathtub.
While the design and layout of these four ANNA cabins are identical, two key distinctions set them apart. ANNA Quercus is designated as a pet-free cabin, unlike ANNA Ulex and Molinia, which are welcoming up to two four-legged companions. Additionally, there are variations in arrival and departure days, which can be found in the reservation tool below.
ANNA Cytisus is strategically positioned closest to the campsite, offering convenient access to facilities like a swimming pond and a recreational field. As a guest of Holenberg, you can avail yourself of these amenities. However, it's worth noting that during the camping season, there may be a slightly higher level of 'noise' originating from the campsite compared to the rest of the serene Holenberg forest.
To summarise:
ANNA Quercus is designed for:
A maximum of 2 adults and 2 children
No pets allowed
ANNA Ulex, Cytisus, and Molinia are designed for:
A maximum of 2 adults and 2 children
A maximum of 2 dogs allowed
