DOWN TO MARGATE

Long gone are the days that Margate was the subject of a Chas ‘n Dave hit. A sad and struggling seaside town that was forgotten is now the place to be after being saved by the re-open of an nostalgic amusement park, a world class art gallery and the arrival of creative & Hip Londoners looking for affordable property.

Margate has now become affectionately known as ‘Shoreditch-on-Sea’.

Margate, Kent

There’s a retro feel to this harbour town, miles of low chalk cliffs edge the coastline, sheltering a string of un-spoilt sandy bays. For the ultimate experience, breathe refreshing sea air and try feel-good activities. Even in the winter, being here can work wonders on the mind, body and spirit. Nature knows best how to blow away all the cobwebs and reboot sluggish systems. You can cycle or hike on the Viking Coastal Trail along a stunning shoreline and through tranquil lanes. From traditional holiday-town charm, a world-class art gallery, sandy beaches, a cool cafe culture and retro shops, the new Margate is waiting…
