These festive beverages will help you relax your shoulders, decompress from the Christmas season's stress, and celebrate in style.


Old-Fashioned Eggnog

One of our favourite holiday delights is homemade eggnog. It's rich and sweet, with a melting ice cream-like texture. In a glass, it tastes like Christmas, t his is holiday decadence at its most opulent.

Ingredients

  1. Whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt in a heavy pot. 950ml of milk added gradually Cook and stir over low heat for about 25 minutes, or until a thermometer reads 160°. Pour into a big mixing basin and toss in the vanilla, nutmeg, and the rest of the milk. Place the bowl in an ice bath and stir continuously until it is completely cool. If the mixture separates, blend it until smooth. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours after covering.

  2. When ready to serve, whip cream until soft peaks form in a mixing basin; gently fold into cooled mixture. Fill a chilled punch bowl halfway with eggnog. Top with dollops of whipped cream, a pinch of nutmeg, and cinnamon sticks, if desired.

  • 12 large eggs

  • 118ml - 236ml sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2.3L whole milk, divided

  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 473ml heavy whipping cream

  • Optional: Whipped cream, additional nutmeg and cinnamon sticks


Mistletoe Margarita

  1. Cut the lime in half and use the inside to wet the cup's rim. On a level surface, sprinkle some salt and dip the rim in it.

  2. To prepare a basic syrup, combine warm water and honey.

  3. To each glass, add ice, a shot of simple syrup, half a lime, and a shot of tequila. Finish with a splash of sparkling cranberry juice. Serve with cranberries and rosemary on top.

  • 4-8 ice cubes

  • 118ml warm water

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 60ml tequila

  • 60ml cranberry juice

  • Salt

  • 1 lime

  • Optional: rosemary & cranberries for garnish


Holly Jolly Christmas Citrus Cocktail

This light, refreshing citrus drink illustrates that not all Christmas cocktails have to be creamy!

Ingredients

  1. Ice should be added to a cocktail glass. Combine the vodka, elderflower liquor (if using), and clementine juice in a cocktail shaker. Finish with a splash of ginger beer. Combine the pomegranates with the thyme or mint. Enjoy!

  • 60ml vodka

  • 15ml St. Germain (elderflower liquor)

  • 79ml freshly squeezed clementine or blood orange juice

  • Ginger beer, for topping

  • Pomegranate arils, for topping

  • 1 sprig of fresh thyme or mint

Ingredients

  1. Blend all the ingredients in a large, spouted mixing glass, like Glass, that can contain at least 473ml, stir to combine, and then funnel into a swing top bottle.   Pour 96ml into a cocktail coupe for one cocktail. Add a brandied cherry on top if desired.

  • 236ml Rye

  • 118ml ounces Averna

  • 59ml Allspice Liqueur

  • 4 dashes Angostura bitters, or another aromatic bitters

  • 4 dashes of orange bitters

  • 59 water

Brandied cherry garnish, optional
