The property was once a rural monastery, from which the name Masseria San Francesco most likely derives, and was afterwards held by a wealthy family of farmers and breeders. It has since been converted into a lovely home.
The remodelling project successfully conserved the trulli village that served as its starting point. The dark walls of the trullo-oven, the original beams of the stable where the cheeses were hung to season, the farmyard, the feeders, the ancient chianche of the pavement, and the shed, which was once the location where traditional dishes were prepared and where the women of the house gathered to work on fruit preserves, tomato sauce, bread dough, frise, and taralli, can all still be seen today.
Nina Exterior
The resort now resembles a farm in a vineyard. Its surrounding vineyard yields Baresana and primitivo wines, which are typical of the region's terroir.
The farm's major attraction is its collection of 11 trulli, which have been converted into opulent suites for visitors and which, by leaning against one another, give the building the appearance of a tiny village or a theatre set amidst the Mediterranean scenery.
An orchard with mandarins, lemons, plums, pears, and cherries as well as a vegetable garden typical of these regions complete the farm's landscape. A century-old oak tree in the backdrop provides some shade by the pool.
The exclusivity of the beautiful home is combined with the appeal of staying in a traditional Apulian trullo.

The rooms, which are large, bright, and unique from one another, are created in the trulli and the old stable while preserving all the original materials: the recycled wood furnishings, the natural fabrics, the ceramics made by local artisans, and the decorations discovered in the antique markets of the nearby villages. A room in a trullo measuring 18 square metres and featuring wooden beams, a private garden furnished with sun loungers, and a dry stone wall surrounding it are all included. The trulli's terrace is accessible from there.

20 square metre spacious rooms with private patios where guests can unwind in the shade of jasmine. The terrace on the trulli is accessible to everyone.

35 square metre rooms on the trulli with a private patio and access to the terrace. You may use an outdoor bathtub for the room's sole purpose, depending on the property you choose.

The orchard's produce, freshly plucked figs from the trees, garden's strawberries, the chef's baked goods, and fresh cold cuts from nearby farms will all be served to guests as they begin their day.
